Caley Thistle made home advantage count at the Caledonian Stadium, securing their clean-sheet victory over Stenhousemuir thanks to two dynamic first-half goals that effectively settled the contest before the interval.

Adam Mackinnon opened the scoring in the 26th minute, drilling the hosts in front after a sustained spell of pressure, and Calum MacLeod followed rapidly with a clinical finish in the 35th minute to lock down the three points before the break.

From there Inverness managed the evening with discipline, keeping Stenhousemuir at arm's length to preserve the clean sheet and bank a result that keeps their push towards the top of the Championship table gathering pace.
